Welch plugs, also known as core plugs or freeze plugs, are typically replaced during engine rebuilding or repair.
In addition, if your engine has steel-type plugs, they are prone to corrosion.
This is why we supply quality aftermarket brass core plugs in this kit.
The oil gallery plugs in this kit are made of steel, as they do not come into contact with coolant and therefore do not require brass construction.
